Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers & Carn Mor Whiskies

Bottlers of the Carn Mor range of limited and rare Scotch Whisky.

Formally known as Morrison and Mackay, Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers announced their new Brand Identity in a distributed press release released on October the 19th 2020.

The press release mentioned the significant transformation the business had undergone since since it transferred to sole ownership under Brian and Jamie Morrison in 2019. The first of the obvious changes was the re-launch of a much revamped package of the Càrn Mòr (Carn Mor) range of Single Cask Scotch Whisky releases. Alongside a new look label and gift box, each bottle of Càrn Mòr Whisky will now be filled into a bespoke custom made bottle that proudly showcases the Morrison Distillers mark, name and company values.

Since beginning this transformation into Morrisons Scotch Whisky Distillers, the business has re-launched in fresh packaging the Old Perth range of blended malt scotch and their very popular Bruadar Single Malt Liqueur. They have also launched the Mac-Talla range of Islay Single Malt Whiskies.

The Càrn Mòr range is a selection of whiskies from single or limited casks, each with their own individual character and story. Where many distilleries strive for consistency across larger batches, Càrn Mòr is able to release unadulterated expressions from these distilleries using traditional methods meaning it is as close to drinking straight from the cask as possible.

This is an exciting development for the Morrison Family. For those unaware, Brian Morrison’s father was none other than Stanley P. Morrison, owner of Bowmore, Glen Garioch and Auchentoshan distilleries until the business was sold to Suntory in 1994. Jamie represents the 5th generation of the Morrison family to make their living in the Scotch Whisky Industry. What a legacy and significant pedigree!
